Established in 1998, Shelburne Vineyard was named Sustainable Farm of the Year -2009 by the University of Vermont Department of Sustainable Agricultural. Stop by their beautiful state-of-the-art winery to tour, picnic and taste wines from their 10 acres of cold hardy varietals such as Marquette and LaCrescent, as well as our Ice Cider.
Mark and Nicole spent 2 years in the Peace Corps teaching beekeeping. Now they've brought their expertise to Vermont and are making high quality mead [honey wine] at their new winery in Groton. Taste their first vintages of traditional mead and blueberry mead this summer, along with Eden Ice Cider.
Neshobe River Winery is located at the Old Mill Inn Bed and Breakfast in the town of Brandon, Vermont. They have a small vineyard and a supplement of grapes obtained from Vermont, California, and the Finger Lakes. Visit their great new "Tastes of the Valley" tasting room to try their award-winning wines as well as Eden Ice Cider.
